Mount Olympus Archives
a collection of people, places, things
About the Archives
"What," you're probably asking yourself "are the Mount Olympus Archives?" Well, it's essentially a bunch of stuff and stories I've collected from Mount Olympus Hospital, located in Polis, CA. I have some chronic illnesses, so I spend a lot of my time sitting in waiting rooms, watching the other people who also spend a lot of time in waiting rooms. I ended up making this stuff into a book, but books are expensive, and braille printing is even more expensive and also I can't exactly send a tiny box of stuff I keep in my desk around to random strangers, so I also wanted to put everything up online with descriptions accessible by screen readers. If you're interested in the whole story, my book is available as both a physical book Amazon. But books are expensive, like I said, so you can also get an ebook on Gumroad
The city of Polis and Mount Olympus Hospital are fictitious places in a collection of narratives written by me, Sarah Bat, as a fictionalized version of myself. The events in the fictional Sarah Bat's life are very much based in my own, as I also struggle with disabilities and chronic illnesses, as well as many of the other topics touched on in my book. The Modern Maiden's Guide to Grief Misery and Other Misfortunes is a collection of modernizations of the stories of women from myth, classic fiction, and history. The link above really is to its Amazon page, and you can read more about the real me and my other writing here.
