Image Description: A handwritten letter on hospital letterhead. The background of the paper is white and the writing is in pen. There is a wide, dark green block at the top and a thin block of the same green at the bottom. There is a yellow, green, and brown drawing of the medical staff symbol on the left side of the wider green bar, next to the words "Care you can count on." The right side of the top bar says "Mount Olympus Hospital/ Department of Psychiatry/ Inpatient Program/ 1 Hospital Drive/ Polis, CA" The bottom, thinner bar also contains the hospital's address, with the addition of the zipcode, 90254, and the slogan "Care you can count on." once more in smaller type. Between these two blocks is the body of the letter. "dad", "asshole", and "fuckhead who ruined my life" have all been scribbled over as the addressee of the letter, and "father," has been left visible below them. The letter reads:
"father,
I don't know why you did what you did. I don't care either. There is not a single excuse on this planet or any other for your actions. And the shittiest part is I think you know that. I really think you do. But you don't give a shit. Why did you even want custody of me? To torture me? To hurt mom? What the hell is wrong with you? Like, a lot of shit, obviously. But it doesn't matter! You no longer matter. Mom found someone willing to fight the agreement. I will never see your awful face sneer at me or insult me or mom ever again. So you and all your Fortune 500 CEO buddies can fuck right off to hell
Good riddance,
Persephone"
Remember when I said you'd meet Percy? Meet Percy, also known as Persephone. Hers and Phee's time at Mt Oly overlapped a little. Percy's therapist had her right letters while she was doing in patient, and at one point she wrote one of those letters you aren't supposed to send. Specifically to her father, Hades, who is a grade A shitwad. She wanted to get rid of it, so she gave it to her best friend Icarus, and he passed it along to me. He comes in every time they have visiting hours, so he sees me around a lot and knew about the archives.
